circa 1980’s. A VIVIACIOUS , fuschia raspberry colored wool coat black zipper pocket accents along the chest. Front hidden black zipper closure. Detachable bottom coat goes from full length to mid-length by unzipping. Button closures at collar and mid knee area. Dolman sleeves, which narrow at cuff. True modern size 8/10, meant to be slouchy and oversized, padded shoulders…of course.
Bette Appel is a pioneer of No Sweat, a program passionate about fair trade. She was the head designer for Glenn of Michigan and opened her own boutiques and factories in 1985. Her stores were the epitomy of cutting edge and stylish clothing.
