Jean Louis Scherrer Dress

We adore Jean Louis Scherrer dresses!  His early career as a ballet dancer definitely influeneced his designs.  They fit and flatter a women's form like no other. This one in particular is a personal favorite as it drapes over the body like a dream, it's perfect for daytime wear and easily transitions into evening with a blink of the eye.  It reminds us of something styliste, Catherine baba, would wear. Very elegant, very unique but decidely comfortable. Eclectic looking dolman sleeves with waist ruching (so damn flattering!!!!) The bodice is color blocked with heather grey and washed tweeded taupe on the front and back. The neck is generous and buttons in the back so it can be worn down and low or high. The fabric label is missing, but this feels like a cotton jersey as it does stretch.  The whole dress, minus the arms, is lined in a gorgeous silk mauve fabric.  Defined shoulder pads, back zip and 8 buttons at the back neck. Excellent/mint condition.
