Vintage Holly Harp "Flutter ' Dress

A rare and fabulous vintage find a coveted LBD by Holly Harp. Miss Harp, who incidentally was credited by the Los Angeles times as being the “doyenne of feathers and fringe” counted as her customers: Grace Jones, Janis Joplin, Bette Midler and Liza Minelli to name just a few. ” While she was known for a rich hippie look (in fact she designed the costume for Stevie Nicks for her video “If Anyone Falls.”) and counted chiffon as one of her signature fabrics, she was no stranger to refined, elegant designs that us mere mortals could carry off as well.
